Dance at Legacy Performing Arts

From a first dance class to advanced training, Legacy helps dancers develop strong technique, confidence, creativity, and a lasting love of movement. Our instructors teach with purpose, helping students build skills step by step in a structured, encouraging environment.

We offer ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, acro, modern, pom, musical theatre, pointe, and Progressing Ballet Technique. Class options and placement vary by age, experience, and technical readiness.

2-Year-Old Ballet & Tap

A gentle introduction to dance through music, movement, ballet, tap, and classroom routines. Monthly themes keep learning playful and engaging. This is a non-performance class, and children must have turned two before registering. If your child is three, contact us for help choosing between this class and Tiny Tot.

Tiny Tot · Ages 3–4

Our youngest beginning dancers explore foundational movement, musicality, coordination, and age-appropriate technique while learning to listen, take turns, and participate in a class.

Mini · Ages 5–6

Mini classes build on foundational skills with growing independence, focus, coordination, and confidence. Dancers continue developing their technique as they prepare for our numbered levels.

Levels 1–5

Progressive training begins at age seven, with placement based on age, experience, prerequisites, and technical readiness. Dancers may repeat a level while strengthening the skills needed for their next stage of training.

Finding the Right Class

Tiny Tot and Mini placement uses your dancer’s age on December 1. A dancer who turns seven by December 1 moves into consideration for Level 1 placement; a dancer who is still six remains in Mini.

If your dancer is new to Legacy, beginning dance at an older age, or unsure about placement, contact the studio. Include their age, previous training, and the styles they’re interested in so we can help identify an appropriate class.
